Progetto d’arte per l’inaugurazione del Giardino di Pianamola

Elisa Resegotti è lieta di annunciare l’inaugurazione del Giardino di Pianamola Nature and Art Projects con una mostra e una tavola rotonda. L’obiettivo è promuovere un programma d’approfondimento della relazione tra arte, paesaggio e natura attraverso progetti in collaborazione con artisti, curatori, collezionisti, galleristi, istituzioni, giardini e musei e la partecipazione ad eventi internazionali.

One Minute Tree presenta opere espressamente create da artisti italiani ed internazionali per la mostra incentrata sul tema della percezione dell’albero come declinazione dello spazio - tempo.

One Minute Tree sarà una pausa nella natura dopo una settimana d’eventi a Roma in occasione di Roma Contemporary e dell’apertura del MAXXI, il Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo.

One Minute Tree aprirà con la presentazione del giardino da parte della scrittrice Pia Pera, dell'architetto paesaggista Sofia Varoli Piazza e del botanico e studioso di flora spontanea Enrico Scarici. Nell’anfiteatro sotto le grandi querce, una tavola rotonda riunirà artisti e studiosi per discutere dell’importanza di leggere il paesaggio attraverso la sua storia, preservando tradizioni e saperi: un viaggio nel tempo e nello spazio, dove l’artista interviene a dare un nuovo senso di bellezza alla natura, in opposizione alla visione di degrado che permea la società contemporanea.

Partecipanti alla tavola rotonda: Laura Barreca, curatrice, Paolo Camilletti, architetto, Luca De Troia, Giardino Hortus Unicorni, Julie e Pierre Higonnet, collezionisti e galleristi,  Dr. Jonathan Lahey Dronsfield, filosofo, Lauro Marchetti, Curatore Giardino di Ninfa, Pia Pera, scrittrice, Joanna Przybyla, artista, Giusto Puri Purini, architetto, e altri.

Il Giardino di Pianamola è situato a 50 km a nord di Roma nel cuore di un paesaggio “etrusco”, con vista sul Lago di Bracciano e sul mare. Negli ultimi quindici anni Elisa Resegotti ha ripristinato il profilo di un declivio massacrato dalle ruspe, dissotterrando massi, veri monumenti naturali, disegnando sentieri e terrazze, recuperando la flora autoctona.

Oltre ad aver distribuito e prodotto film per molti anni Elisa Resegotti ha curato mostre in Italia e all’estero. Tra le più rilevanti: Sulle strade di Kiarostami, allestita nel 2003 alla Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo di Torino e in seguito in importanti musei in tutto il mondo. La collaborazione con Kiarostami, vero paladino della “forza del paesaggio”, continua a tutt’oggi e l’artista iraniano ha appena terminato un video per One Minute Tree. Tra le altre mostre: nel 2006 Miti portoghesi di Manuel Casimiro alla Cittadella della cultura di Bari e nel 2009 durante la manifestazione “Rome Contemporary” Panìco Pànico di Hans-Hermann Koopmann per Giardino Segreto.

Anche le opere della collezione privata evidenziano come l’interazione con gli artisti abbia contribuito alla creazione del giardino e viceversa. Un esempio è l’artista polacco Krzysztof Bednarski di cui è collezionista sin dagli anni Ottanta e che ha appena vinto il concorso per la realizzazione del monumento a  Frederyk Chopin nello Schweizer Park a Vienna.

Elisa Resegotti is delighted to announce One Minute Tree, an exhibition and roundtable that creates an opportunity to investigate the relationship between art, landscape and nature. One Minute Tree is the inaugural Event of The Garden of Pianamola: Nature and Art Projects, an ongoing programme of Artists’ Projects and Commissions in the Garden. Nature and Art Projects will create a platform for the appreciation of the art of the garden through collaboration with artists, collectors, galleries, museums and gardens and participation in international art events.

The exhibition One Minute Tree will present new artworks specially created for the Exhibition focused on the perception of the tree as declension of time and space by both Italian and International artists with a relationship to this beautiful garden, set within the stunning Etruscan landscape, overlooking Lake Bracciano and the Mediterranean Sea. One Minute Tree offers refreshment after a week of Events in Rome coinciding with Roma Contemporary and the opening of the National Museum of 21st Century Arts (MAXXI).

One Minute Tree opens with a presentation by writer Pia Pera, followed by a tour of the garden led by architect and garden historian Sofia Varoli Piazza and by botanist Enrico Scarici, expert in spontaneous flora. Then, under the oak trees in the amphitheater, a roundtable will discuss the importance of reading the landscape through its history, preserving its tradition and wisdom: a travel through space and time where the contemporary artist contributes to a new perception of beauty in nature.

Jonathan Lahey Dronsfeld, Philosopher, Lauro Marchetti, Curator Giardini di Ninfa, Pia Pera, Writer, Joanna Przybyla, artist, Giusto Puri Purini, Architect.

Elisa Resegotti over the past 15 years has been recovering the garden’s spontaneous flora, reshaping its hill slopes, uncovering stones to build paths and planting trees. After having worked extensively in film, both as a producer and distributor, she has curated exhibitions in Italy and abroad – among the most significant ‘On the Roads of Kiarostami, at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, in Turin in 2003 and in other prestigious museums worldwide. Her collaboration with Kiarostami, one of our greatest advocates of ‘the power of the landscape’, has continued for two decades and the Iranian artist just finished a new video work, for One Minute Tree.

Among other exhibitions Elisa has also curated Portuguese Myths of Manuel Casimiro in 2006 at the Cittadella della Cultura in Bari and Hans-Hermann Koopmann’s exhibition Panìco Pànico in 2009 at Giardino Segreto during ‘Rome Contemporary’. The guests will be able to view works in the Garden of Pianamola Private Collection and see how Elisa’s interaction with the artists informs the creation of her garden and vice-versa. One example is Polish artist Krzysztof Bednarski whose works Elisa has been collecting since the 1980s and who has just won the commission to create the Chopin monument in Vienna.
